Baby Chubbs

Greta had her 8 week check up ( at 6.5 weeks old) - and my doctor just laughed at her. She couldn't believe her size. Greta is at 95-97 % for height, and off the charts for weight! Over 13 pounds. She's a really chubby baby!!

She's a strong little one, too. She showed off for her doctor at the appointment. She held her head way high for a long time while on her belly; and then she tried to do some crawling tricks; and then she tried to roll off the table! The doctor just stared all wide eyed and asked Greta, "Do you know how old you are?"

Lucy is trying to be a really good big sister. She likes to put toys on Greta's belly or head, and give Greta her "fossil" - Lucy's word for pacifier. I have no idea where she got that.

3 weeks later.......

Greta is a chunky monkey! Take a look!

Lucy is doing a great job with the adjustment, too. Occasionally she humors us and sits for a photo with her sister. I don't think she finds Greta too interesting just yet. The Legos are definitely higher on her list of things to do. She will sit and rearrange the blocks over and over. She says she's building a castle for Cinderella, the mice, and Lucy. Oh, and sometimes Thomas the train is invited to live there, too.

Happy Birthday, Lucy! You're 2!

What a fun day she had! We want to thank everyone for adding to her special day. She knew it was all for her and soaked it all in! She was pretty exhausted that night and all day the next day, too.

I think mom and dad were a bit overzealous when shopping for her birthday this year. Mental note taken. We're already talking of scaling down next year. She had so many fun things to play with, we didn't even make it through a few presents that night. Thanks to everyone for spoiling her rotten this time, though. She loves all her new toys, and she will be sharing them with her little sister one day too!

As if her room weren't totally girlie to begin with...

Happy Birthday, Buggie! We love you more than you could possibly know!
