Big n Happy

Greta returned from her 4 mo. appointment confirming what we already knew...she is huge! The nurse originally charted her as a 6 mo old- and she was STILL off the normal curve. She is on her own growth curve, we were assured. You can see her little pants, even after a morning poo, don't fit too well...and they are size 6-12 months old!

And these wrists just look PAINFUL to me!

Greta loves Lucy more than anything in her world... only Lucy can entertain her and make her happy all the time, no matter what.

Here's What's Happening...

...in our neck of the woods.

Greta is now on solid foods. She's just so big, I think she was ready to fill her tummy with some other treats. She doesn't like green foods (peas, green beans) unless I trick her and mix some pears in there! But she does enjoy all things orange and yellow. Here she is, her very first meal ever, sippin carrots off the spoon. Nummy Num!

Thank goodness the weather has finally turned, cause Lucy is a little outdoors girl. Lately, we have been taking advantage of eating outside or just burning off some steam before bedtime.

I hope this lasts forever- Lucy loves to wash dishes. In fact, when I have to ask her to stop, I take a deep breath and prepare for a Category 4 tantrum.

Finally, Lucy let mom do her hair. Here she is with Whoopsies... She looks so grown up to me with her hair pulled back. I haven't been allowed to touch her hair since, though, and she's the boss.

You can also see how beautiful our kitchen is, still. Eric keeps assuring me as soon as summer comes, I might have walls again.

We borrowed our next fun game from the Parent Trap. These are Lucy's bear sticks. She clicks them around and scares the bear (dad) away.

Getting out of the bathtub and ready for bed is a long process. Lucy finds lots of things to do to stall the inevitable. Here is one example....

And last but not least, Greta has reached a milestone! She started rolling over the day before she turned 4 months old. We kept finding her crying in her crib all night because she would flip onto her back and hate every second of it. She is finally rolling like a little log in all directions... I tried my best to capture it on film. Go, Greta, go!

3 Month Photo Shoot

Oh my! My little GG shows off her baby chubs and big baby head. She seemed to enjoy all the poses and the bright lights. Such a silly little girl...

Greta's Baptism

It was a a beautiful day for Greta's baptism. We had a small, but very special service on Saturday morning, followed by some seriously good food and sunshine at my parents'. Greta wore a Christening gown Oma made for me when I was baptized. Lucy wore it as well 2 years ago... I had never seen any pictures of me or Lucy in the cap... it quickly came off Greta! Poor thing looked like a pilgrim.

God Bless you, Greta!

A Freund Easter

We had a beautiful Easter Sunday and hope everyone else did, too. Lucy wasn't very happy that she had to wear a dress. She's used to her sweatpants every day. I had to convince her it was just a "long shirt" and that the Easter Bunny only visits girls in dresses. Eventually, it worked.

Greta wasn't crying about her dress... I dont think. It was a bit snug...chubby girl can't even fit into a size 6 mo dress at 10 weeks old!!! I'm not so sure why she was crying, actually. It made for a classic picture though!

This one just made me laugh.

Griggy meets Greta while having Easter dinner at Christy and Andy's place.

And of course we had an Easter egg hunt. Apparently, I made it too easy for Lucy, cause she pretended she didn't see some of them to make it more fun for herself.

And the Easter Bunny did come! Lucy was able to draw with the bunny for a little while.
