Greta is 7 months old!

Happy 7 months Greta!

We are actually enjoying all the chaos in our house. Greta adds so much life and happiness...more than we thought possible.

She has her first little tooth already and is working hard on crawling. She hates being alone, loves to watch Lucy and Luther, and is extremely happy when tasting little bites of real people food!

some recent favorites...

Summer, please don't end. It's been so much fun with these two girls...take a peek.

Here we are on the Jr. Gemini at Cedar Point. Turns out, to our great surprise, our cautious Lucy loves roller coasters. She's a thrill seeker yet!

Greta finally did some real swimming. She absolutely loved it!!!

Lucy spent more time pool side, but eventually went in, after teasing her dad.

I just thinks she looks sweet here. She "hearts" her crib- her happy place.

Our summer 09 trip to Buckless. Such GREAT days. Family and fun and relaxation... it really doesn't get any better than being here.

Greta hanging out by the fire.

A quick pajama picture before the girls are off to bed and the adults can play!

wearecampfire.com Thanks Uncle Andy!

Uncle Matt, Cousin Josie, and Aunt Heidi- off for a "hike" to the ice cream shop.

Thanks for your help Lucy. You're doing great!

Lucy's first creek walk! Brrr! Chilly! But she loved it!!!

It's a Grand Lake, MI

There was lots of this.

And not really much of this... unless you categorize this as doing whatever you please at any given moment, in which case, there was lots of this too.

What a beautiful week we had at Grand Lake. Fortunately, our little clan was able to get away together to enjoy the cool lake, cabins, and the small town of Presque Isle. Oma delighted in showing her grandchildren, Lucy mainly, all the things that bring her back to the Lake year after year, since age 9.

Poor Sweet Greta. This was the only 10 minutes she had in her bikini. It just didn't fit her too well- the top squeezed so tight it just kept rolling up to her chin(s). She loved the water all the same. This was her mini Grand Lake.

Greta just loves watching people eat. It's very rude, but she will stare at your plate and follow your fork up to your mouth, and intently watch you chew. You feel bad, like you should be giving her some ...maybe she isn't being fed enough.Wait ... what?

Lucy grew up a lot this week. She had some serious independence since the cabin doors had no latches-she just had to run into it and off you go. So she roamed around and relished in her freedom, following her ever changing whims.

Pause for a family photo.

Oh yea, the kayaks. We were out on these from early morning to early evening. The sun doesn't set until 10:30 there... so the water was just beautiful, and no place to enjoy it was better than these kayaks. I loved paddling over to mom's water lily garden in front of their cute piece of property. It doesn't need to have a house on it to already enjoy it!

Thanks Oma and Opa for such a special time together!!
